There were reports of an off-screen affair between the two as well, which ended when Raj Kapoor refused to leave his wife for her.
Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan
One of the most iconic on-screen couple of the 90s, the two first appeared together in Saajan in 1991. They acted together two more times in the 90s before appearing in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam in 2002.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri
The two have starred in 10 movies together since the first movie Zanjeer in 1973. The two became an off-screen couple and celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this year. They have appeared in movies like Abhimaan, Mili, Sholay, Silsila, and Chupke Chupke.
Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor

Interestingly, before the movie was made and released, the real-life couple went through a breakup in 2009. They did not let their personal life interfere with their professional life.
